Space Jam
In the winter of 1996, Ivan Reitman invited Ron onto a film that was, without mincing words, in big trouble. SpaceJam had a hard and fast release date only 11 months away, and more than 50 minutes of 2D and 3D animation to create for a live action film that had already been shot. Ron had his work cut out for him.
Never one to back down from a challenge, Ron stepped up to the plate and without losing his cool or his indomitable spirit and sense of humor, he assembled an amazing creative team, Artists from all over the world contributed to the film but it was Ron's team in Sherman Oaks who truly kept the ship a float.
During that production our ubiquitous Production manager, Melissa Kurtz, seemed to have a camera in her hand at every moment. But up until now, none of us have ever seen those photos. Until today... Here are just a sampling of the hundreds of amazing snapshots she took. Thank god we were all too tired to be camera shy! It is so great to have so many lovely shots of Ron, doing what he did best - making magical memories and a really great film!
We have even included the complete and uncut crew featurette.
